Yamaha FZR600 Motorcycle wallpaper – popular concept Triumph motorcycles wallpaper and background

Image
The FZR600 continued in production until 1999. However, in some markets (European) it was still marketed as the FZR600 in 1994 even though it was actually the closely related YZF600R, which was mechanically similar but featured an all-new steel frame, slightly modified engine producing 98 BHP, and different styling with the now famous “Foxeye” headlamps. The original steel-framed ‘3HE’ FZR600 remained virtually unchanged throughout its production. In 1991 the FZR received a single trapezoid headlamp to ape its FZR1000 EXUP sibling, but Yamaha reverted to the twin headlamp design for 1993. In 1990, the rear wheel width was increased to 4 inches (as opposed to the 3.5-inch wheel which was stock for the 1989 model). In the same year the front brake calipers were upgraded to 4-piston units (as opposed to the 2-piston calipers on the 1989 model). In 1991 the FZR received a different swingarm, which was slightly fatter in profile. Aside from the minor mechanical changes, the paintwork and ...

Buell Motorcycle wallpaper – Aprilia motorcycle and superbike wallpaper

The Blast was Buell’s only model to use a single-cylinder engine. With 492 cc (30.0 cu in) displacement and 360 lb (160 kg) dry weight, it was their smallest model, often used in Harley-Davidson’s “Rider’s Edge” new rider instruction/riding schools. This filled Harley CEO Jeff Bleustein’s idea of having a make-specific training bike, since many students end up buying a bike from the dealer where they trained. The Blast came from a quick proof-of-concept at the Buell factory. It originally used half of a Sportster 883 engine. The engine ended up 80 percent over budget and very expensive compared to the higher-technology Rotax engines available from outside the company. Cycle World wrote “Such an overrun would be unheard of from an outside supplier, but when your supplier also owns you, you grin and bear it.” The Blast was ultimately the most expensive development project Buell undertook. Because the engine was overpriced, it ended up making money for Harley while losing money for Buel...

Kawasaki made numerous minor changes in 2015 that include a revised first gear ratio that is shorter to take advantage of the massive torque for smoother starts, revised fuel mapping to match the transmission and catalyzer changes, different steering stem seal for lighter steering at low speed, stiffer rear suspension for enhanced carrying capacity, an adjustable vent in the windshield, revised ABS programming to reduce the linked braking effect, a new rear luggage base, silver bezels on the analog dash meters, elongated mid-pipe heat shield, change of warning lamp color from red to yellow, tank pad, cushions on passenger pegs, and a revised seat that is narrower at the front with a flatter seat area that will allow riders to reach to the ground. There is also an Accessory Touring Seat for even greater comfort. The revised parts should all be backwards compatible with previous model years. Kawasaki also shifted the North American models to use the oxygen sensor that had previously onl...

Kawasaki developed the model in response to Honda’s introduction of the CBR900RR Fireblade for the 1992 model year. Prior to the advent of the Fireblade, large-capacity Japanese sports motorcycles had become polarised. On one side were the 750 cc sport bikes, influenced by Endurance racing and the World Superbike Championship. On the other, the “big-bore” 1,000 cc-plus sports-tourers had become the natural evolution of the performance bikes of the preceding 20 years. In simple terms, the 750s had the handling, the big-bores had the power. In both categories, Kawasaki ruled. The ZXR750 offered the technology and the performance of ultra-expensive racing-homologation models from Honda and Yamaha at half the price, and it outclassed the similarly priced GSX-R750 of the time, which still featured a perimeter frame and an oil-cooled engine, while the ZZ-R1100 held the title of the fastest production motorcycle on Earth yamaha dtx wallpaper, buell motorcycle , ducati hypermotard wallpaper, ...

GP5 The GP5 version lined up for Ducati’s third season in MotoGP, with Bayliss replaced by the Spanish rider Carlos Checa. Thanks to a collaboration agreement with Bridgestone, Ducati could finally contribute to the development of new tyres and by the end of the season the Desmosedici became a competitive machine. Bridgestone found that hard tyres suited the bike more than softer tyres to create grip ? simply put, allowing it to spin the rear wheel gave better control. Functions of PPE (Motorcycle)Suzuki GSX-S1000 Motorcycle The Suzuki GSX-S1000 is a standard motorcycle from the Japanese manufacturer Suzuki that was launched in 2015. Its engine is essentially 2005-2008’s GSX-R1000 with some re-tunes for more torque. Improved visibility ? Although for decades the popular image of the motorcycle rider has been of someone clad head-to-toe in black leather, in the light of the Hurt Report findings, and the day-to-day experiences of motorcyclists themselves, many riders choose higher-visibility gear. Bright colors and retroreflective strips are common on quality equipment. Abrasion resistance ? Thick, tough leather provides the most abrasion resistance in a crash, but fabrics such as Cordura, Kevlar and ballistic nylon provide significant protection too. In addition, fabrics are generally cheaper, easier to maintain, waterproof, and more comfortable in hot weather. Thick leather, which affords the most abrasion resistance, can be uncomfortable in tem...

The 2011 ZX-10R underwent major overhaul both mechanically and visually. Most notably, Kawasaki introduced their Sport Kawasaki Traction Control (S-KTRC) system as standard. It predicts when traction will be lost and adapts accordingly. Also new are an ABS option called Kawasaki Intelligent Braking System (KIBS), a completely new design, adjustable foot-pegs, larger throttle bodies, a horizontal rear suspension, lighter three-spoke wheels, Showa Big Piston Fork (BPF) front suspension, and an LCD panel dashboard. The 2012 model is identical to the 2011. In the 2013 models, the front damper was replaced with an Ohlins electronic front steering dampener. Tom Sykes in 2013 became the first Superbike World Champion for Kawasaki since Scott Russell and the first on a ZX-10R. Stuart Easton won the 2014 Macau Grand Prix. Jonathan Rea won the 2015 Superbike World Championship season. Jeremy Toye holds the Heavyweight (Open) lap record at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb ktm, chopper mo...

The frame was changed for 1990 and used some of the features from the 1989 GSX-R 1100 frame. The rake was now 25.5 degrees and wheelbase 55.7 inches (1,410 mm). The front suspension now had inverted forks, the triple clamps (yokes) and handlebars were changed to accommodate the new forks. The rear suspension featured a new damper (shock) and swingarm. The rear damper (shock) now had a remote reservoir and damping adjustment. The revised swingarm now featured cast ends for the axle adjustment. The rear wheel was widened to 5.5 inches (140 mm) (previously 4.5 inches (110 mm)) but the tire size remained the same. A non-adjustable steering damper was added which attached from the left frame rail to a clamp on the left fork (US models did not receive the damper but the frame had the tapped mounting holes). The rear sprocket carrier and sprocket changed to a six-bolt design (previously five). The front brake rotors changed to a slotted design (previously cross drilled holes). The body work...

BMW R1200GS Motorcycle wallpaper – yellow racing motorbike backgrounds

Although the 2013 model has since proved itself, it had a somewhat shaky start. In the UK, the R1200GS has been subject to various DVSA vehicle recalls covering the front brakes, anti-lock braking system, throttle cable, fuel pump, clutch, final drive assembly, brake pipes, and gearbox; and similar recalls have been issued in other countries. Early journalistic reports described the bike as having a front end “head shake” or speed wobble, and deliveries of the motorcycle were halted while BMW revised the front end geometry. For the 2014 through 2016 model years, there were incremental annual updates, including adjustments to road handling, and adding options such as LED headlights, keyless ignition, a quickshifter, an anti-theft system, and another lower seat option. A new ABS mode available as a software update allows safer braking while cornering. For the 2017 model year, the bike was given a facelift, with technical changes to meet European EU4 regulations. Yamaha RZ350 Motorcycle background – new hd triumph wallpaper – triumph motorcycle wallpapers

The RZ had a 500 cc stablemate called the RZ500. It came in a red-on-white color scheme. It was a twin-crank V4 (much like the GP bikes of the era) and was a quite different bike. Some distributors and dealers sold these bikes with custom paint jobs, causing confusion about OEM paint schemes. In many countries, these bikes were known as RDs, but in North America and Australia they were called the RZs. In Australia, England, Canada, and the USA the Yamaha RD series (RD-60, RD125, RD-200, RD250, RD350, RD400) from which the later RZ/RD were descended, were first released in the 1970s as air-cooled two-strokes. In 1980 the bikes had a redesign using ideas Yamaha gained from two-stroke Grand Prix and production race experiences. They also became liquid-cooled and had an ‘LC’ appended to the name to designate this e.g.: RD350LC – some people referred to them as the “Elsie”. The Elsie is the link between the earlier air-cooled RDs, and the later power valve (YPVS) equipped RZ series. The m...

Kawasaki KX500 Motorcycle background – yellow Aprilia racing motorcycle background

Kawasaki would take several years to produce a competitive bike, and when it finally did, would find the KX500 winning in events for which it was not initially designed for. Its first victories came in 1986, when Donnie Griewe won two National Hare and Hound events. These only foreshadowed Kawasaki’s dominance in distance and desert racing that exploded in the 90’s. In 1989 Kawasaki captures its first National MX championship on a KX500, repeating in ’90 and ’92 before the series was discontinued at the close of the ’93 season. But that would not be the end of the KX500’s racing legacy. Beginning in 1992, the KX500 took the victory in every Desert Nationals race through 1995, and continued to win the Desert Nationals Championship every year though 2001. It further cemented its legendary dominance in desert racing by being the victors bike at the Baja 1000 from 1988 through 1996 buell motorcycle, motorcycle , superbike, Motorcycle wallpapers, suzuki hayabusa superbike (Motorcycle)Su...

The Kawasaki Z650 (known as KZ650 in North America) was a 652 cc (39.8 cu in) standard motorcycle made by Kawasaki from 1976 till 1983. It had a four-cylinder four-stroke, DOHC, air-cooled, wet sump engine with two valves per cylinder and a five-speed gearbox. Designed as a middleweight version of the Kawasaki Z900, the similar-styling had “an attenuated version of the traditional Kawasaki tail fairing”. It competed in the market against the smaller SOHC Honda CB650. The Z650 was the epitome of the “Universal Japanese Motorcycle”, or “UJM”. It press-debuted in late 1976 when six US-specification machines were air-shipped from the Akashi works to the UK distributor near London. The front brakes were also new. Suzuki decided to drop the six-piston calipers. The new radially mounted four-piston calipers weigh 30 grams less and grip smaller 300 mm (11.8 in) discs that save another 300 g (11 oz). Though smaller, Suzuki claimed that the new brakes provide better stopping and turn-in performance. The headlights of the 2003 year’s GSX-R1000 were mounted vertically to enable the ram-air intakes in the front to be placed 20 mm (0.79 in) nearer the bike’s center line. The new design was very much inspired by the look of the Hayabusa. The instruments were also redesigned. The cylinder displacement of the engine remained the same 988 cc (60.3 cu in), but more power/torque and better throttle response had been achieved by adding four ventilation holes between the cylinders to equalize crankcase pressure beneath the pistons, moving the air intake nearer to the centerline and upgrading the engine management system from a 16-bit to a 32-bit ECU. The entire exhaust system ...

For 2008 the T100 (like all Bonneville based models) was further updated with fuel injection to meet new Euro 3 emissions legislation. As well as cleaner running than a carburettor engine, the fuel injected system is also easier to start from cold. To retain the ‘retro’ styling the fuel injectors are hidden behind throttle bodies designed to resemble carburetors.
