The GSX 750S (US: Katana) received an updated engine for 1984, along with Suzuki’s other big-bore four-valver models. This is the engine that the first Suzuki GSX-R Series bikes were based on.

Current GSX models are powered by derivatives of this in-line, four-cylinder engine with four valves per cylinder, which is also used in the Suzuki Bandit Series up to the end of the 2006 model year. They feature a combined air/oil cooling system called SACS (for ‘Suzuki Advanced Cooling System’).

The current GSX series is produced as the GSX600F and GSX750F faired sport touring models, now in their second generations, and the unfaired, twin-shock GSX 750 and GSX 1400 models.

The bike was used to win the 2007 Endurance FIM World Championship suzuki, suzuki motorcycles, suzuki wallpaper, Motorcycle wallpapers, suzuki bike

In various countries the laws mandated that road-registered machines have lights/horn/blinkers/stop lights/mirrors in various permutations. In some countries this led to unusually large rear tail-light assemblies and round red reflex safety reflectors on some models, as Suzuki ensured their compliance with local design rules. All PE’s came fitted with effective mufflers, with restrictors and double-walled expansion chambers (with mesh) to meet noise and spark restrictor laws where applicable.

The USA machines usually came standard with a trip-meter and minimal AC lighting, with a speedometer as an option, whereas PE’s in Australia and Belgium (for example) had speedometers, stop lights, horn, 6V DC battery and charging system to suit, by law. The UK machines did not have indicators or battery; however these did come with an AC horn. The lighting requirements varied across years and countries, so a PE in the UK, South Africa or France might have substantially different rear tail-lights and mounting assemblies to those in the USA. The French PE’s (for example) continued to use the PE250B style headlamp shell, with a parking light and a yellow globe insert, due to local regulations Motorcycle wallpapers#SuzukiGsxr #Hayabusa #SuzukiWallpaper #SuzukiMotorbike #SuzukiHayabusa

The design worked through several variations, with the public being allowed to see the ED1 and ED2 versions. This original design was a 650 cc (40 cu in) model called the ED-1 (European Design 1). The unfaired ED1 design featured a tall sculpted fuel tank with both curves and straight edges that merged fuel tank with a lower stepped seat and side panels. This meant the rider sat into the motorcycle, rather than on it, as was the norm. The ED1 design would be modified for production as the GS 550 M Katana, and later the GS650G Katana. The shark-like faired ED2 was a more radical design which incorporated favorable aerodynamics, with a special emphasis placed on high-speed stability, and was repeatedly wind-tunnel tested in Italy. The same generalized design forms had already been used early in 1979 for a one-off MV Agusta from the same design team, this proto never saw production. The ED2 design would form the prototype for the larger 16-valve 1100, 1000, and 750 GSX-S (GS-S
