From the 500 originally produced, only 200 units were exported to Europe. Most of these ended up in Germany, UK, France and the Netherlands, some went to Sweden, only a couple went to Norway and only one to Iceland. Out of the European 200, 50 units officially came to the UK, most went to racers and race teams, thus units which went to dealerships and sold to private customers were very limited. Australia received 50 bikes of which 38 were road registerable, the other 12 were race bikes. None were officially exported to the USA, possibly due to the high import tax tariff at the time on bikes with a displacement over 700 cc (43 cu in), even though there was a large demand for racing bikes at the time due suzuki, suzuki, suzuki wallpaper hd, Motorcycle wallpapers, suzuki

Mk2 (1985): Revised front fairings, mudguard and colour scheme and a slightly shorter wheelbase (from 1385 mm to 1360 mm)

Mk3 (1986-1987): Introduction of Suzuki’s AEC system (Automatic Exhaust Control). This gave the bike a higher (around 49-50+hp) power rating.

(AEC system: Same idea as the now standard power valve design, but using a ‘butterfly flap’ to open and close an addition chamber on the cylinder head (open @ low RPM, closed at higher). This effectively expands the exhaust system at low RPM, to allow the exhaust to be tuned for high RPM. The AEC system opens at around 7500 RPM)

Mk4: (1987): There was also a very short-lived Mk4 version created for the Japanese home market, which had larger front discs, thicker tyres and larger diameter front forks. This model was never exported.

The RG250 Gamma was replaced by the RGV250 Gamma (V-Twin) in 1988 Motorcycle wallpapers#SuzukiSuperbike #SuzukiSuperbike #SuzukiHayabusaWallpaper #Suzuki #SuzukiHayabusa

For the 1973 MY, the T250 twin was updated with new bodywork, Ram Air cooling, a single disc brake in front and was now designated GT250. The GT250 retained its original engine and six-speed transmission, both remaining basically unchanged from the T20 X6 Hustler of 1966 through the T250 model to the 1972 MY. The marketing name of “Hustler” was retained for the North American market. The GT250 continued on with minor changes until the 1976 MY when the engine was changed substantially, both internally and externally. Porting changes now saw the cylinders with four larger transfer ports instead of the previous two small as well as changes to the CCI system in the crankshaft main bearing area. The carburetors became 28 mm in size instead of 26 mm, the mufflers were modified to cater for the increased airflow through the engine and the transmission ratios were revised to more evenly match the new powerband. The Ram Air cover for the head was deleted and the stock finning on the heads was increased in height to gain the same effect as the Ram Air used to give
