Motorcycle land-speed record – cool concept motorbike backgrounds

Jet-engine trike
The fastest record certified by the FIM is that set in 1964 by the jet-propelled tricycle, Spirit of America. It set three absolute land speed records, the last at 526.277 miles per hour (846.961 km/h). While such records are usually validated by the F?d?ration Internationale de l’Automobile, the FIA only certifies vehicles with at least four wheels, while the FIM certifies two- and three-wheelers. Breedlove never intended Spirit of America to be classified as a motorcycle, despite its tricycle layout, and only approached the FIM after being rejected for record status by the FIA. Spirit of America’s FIM-ratified record prompted the FIA to create a new category “thrust-powered” vehicles to its world record listings. Further, most people think of the tricycle Spirit of America, now part of the permanent collection of Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry, as a “car” and not a motorcycle bmw motorcycle, motorbike backgrounds, suzuki gsxr, Motorcycle wallpapers, kawasaki motorcycle
(Motorcycle)Yamaha RZ350 Motorcycle
USA – In the USA the RZ came with catalytic converters for emissions requirements, and was the first motorcycle to do so. It was only sold in California in 1985, as the RZ350NC, and a second version was sold in late 1985 and 1986 as the RZ350NC2, both of which had an EVAP canister and an additional catalytic converter in the exhaust pipe header to meet California emission regulations. Sales of the RZ350 were discontinued in the US after 1986, as Yamaha decided the two-stroke would use too much of their United States Environmental Protection Agency fleet emissions quota, and limit sales of larger displacement bikes, which were more popular sellers.
The RZ350 was the first Yamaha street bike sold in the US that used a “perimeter” frame with frame rails around the underside of the fuel tank as opposed to the standard frames of the era with a spine under the center of the fuel tank Motorcycle wallpapers#Motorcycles #HarleyWallpaper #Ktm #SuzukiWallpaper #MotorbikeWallpaper
(Motorcycle)Suzuki PE series Motorcycle
During the 1970s, Suzuki had become the first Japanese producer to win a World Motocross Championship, and swept many events via the riding of stars such as Joel Robert, Roger DeCoster, Sylvain Geboers, Gaston Rahier and Gerrit Wolsink on their RH and RN series factory racers.
By 1974 the publicly available TM series (1971?75) of racers failed to reflect the advances of the factory Grand Prix machines in performance and handling. This was recognised and within two years, replaced by the much improved RM Series machines. These became extremely popular. The direct transfer of the works Grand Prix developments into the RM Series combined for major success in the market
