The models offered in 1932, the first year of production were:

G - with small box and tow bar
GA - with small box and no tow bar
GD - with large box and no tow bar
GE - with large box and air tank

In 1933, the GDT, with large box and tow bar, was added to the line.

In 1942, the small and large boxes were replaced with a standardized intermediate-sized box that was manufactured for Harley-Davidson by the Chas. Abresch Co. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A gold, red, and black water transfer decal from this company was affixed to the top inside of the box lid. Honda began selling a new version of the Activa in the Indian market on 8 May 2009, with a new 109 cc engine. Honda said the Fuel economy was improved by 15%.

In April 2014, Honda began an upgraded model of Activa with a 125cc engine and rebranded the model as Activa 125. Currently, both Activa-i and Activa 125 are sold in India along with traditional Honda Activa .

Honda began selling the Activa i in India, a cheaper and lighter version of the Activa, in December 2013. It is powered by 110 cc engine. On September 22, 2015, Honda announced that they had sold over 1 million Activas in five months in the Indian market, from April to August.

As motorcycles have evolved, perspectives on the GSX-R1100 have changed. When the bike was new, magazines lauded its power, handling and relative lack of weight. But today’s authors who compare it against 1994’s introduction of the Supersports bikes, driven by Tadao Baba’s development of the Honda Fireblade, can use 20/20 hindsight to be more critical. Recent articles (some in comparison with newer sport bikes) still rave about the powerful 1100 cc engine but otherwise describe the GSX-R1100 as large, heavy, and unstable. Some of these assertions were borne out by Suzuki’s year-to-year tinkering with the frame geometry in order to make the bike handle better. The result is that different years have different handling characteristics on the road. Earlier bikes are lighter but the square-section alloy frame is prone to warping under extreme stress while later models are more rigid and offer increased power but suffer from increased weight
