The series was envisioned as a “bare-bones low performance model,” but the 98 Sport of 1953 became Ducati’s “first true sporting model.” The new design by Ducati’s chief engineer, Giovanni Fiorio, made its debut at the 1952 Milan Show with the showing of the 98N and 98T (with twin seat). The following year, the 98 Sport was presented at the same show, a lighter bike with alloy instead of chrome steel rims, and a higher state of tune, and the addition of a finned oil cooler at the front of the engine.

Although the 98 had some success in competition, its limitations made Ducati Director Giuseppe Montano decide to begin a racing program led by a new engineer, Fabio Taglioni. Though Taglioni mainly worked on the new OHC bikes, he might have influenced the 98S of 1954 ducati multistrada superbike, ducati, ducati hypermotard, Motorcycle wallpapers, ducati panigale wallpaper

Diesel Edition

Limited run of 666 bikes based on the Gen 2 platform and released in 2017. The Diavel Diesel is made unique by details in hand-brushed steel with visible welds and rivets, like the tank cover, the headlight fairing and the passenger seat cover. The visible welds also appear on the anodised black side conveyors with a red methacrylate centre cover bearing an embedded Diesel logo. The red colour is also found on the LCD instrument panel, the front brake callipers and five chain links. The pipes of the exhaust system feature a Zircotec black ceramic coating. The silencers with billet endcaps are also black.
Xdiavel

In 2016, Ducati launched the Xdiavel (available in regular and S versions). With a feet-forward riding position, it was the first Ducati to use a belt final-drive. At the time of its launch, the Xdiavel was Ducati’s fastest accelerating (0-60 mph) motorcycle ? due to the low profile, long wheelbase, and max power low in the powerband. The 2019 Ducati XDiavel S was reported to have a 0-60 time of 2.9 seconds. The 1262cc engine produced 93 lb-ft (126 Nm) of torque at 5000 rpm, and 152 hp (112 kW) of power at 9500 rpm Motorcycle wallpapers#Ducati #DucatiMultistradaWallpaper #DucatiSuperbike #Ducati #DucatiWallpaper

(Motorcycle)Ducati SportClassic Motorcycle
The Ducati GT1000 used a similar steel tubular trellis frame to the Paul Smart and the Sport1000, and the same Desmodue 992 cc (60.5 in3) engine. It was designed with comfort in mind and intended for sport-touring riders. The frame differed from the Sport1000 in the addition of mounting points for twin shocks and side panels. The GT1000 had touring handlebars, mounted on the same front forks as the Sport has clip-ons: non-adjustable 43 mm Marzocchi upside-down forks.

While the rear end had the seventies appearance, the components were more modern. The rear suspension used twin Sachs shocks, adjustable for spring pre-load, mounted on a beefy 60 mm section swingarm. Wide Excel 17 inch chromed steel (36 spoke) rims are laced with thick 4.4 mm spokes to silver painted aluminum alloy hubs, necessitating the use of tube-type tires
