BMW K1300R background – latest superbike wallpapers hd

The BMW K1300R is a naked motorcycle made by BMW from 2008 to 2015. When launched, it replaced the K1200R as BMW’s flagship urban motorcycle. BMW says the K1300R produces 173 hp (129 kW) @ 9,250 rpm and 140 N?m (100 lbf?ft) torque @ 8,250 rpm from its 1,293 cc (78.9 cu in) inline-four engine. The engine was subtly modified by British company Ricardo plc. It has an exhaust butterfly flap to boost torque and improve exhaust note. The K1300R features BMW’s optional ESA-II electronic suspension adjustment. The bike also has a conventional indicator switch instead of the usual BMW three button configuration.

The K1300R is considered a muscle bike, a slang term for naked or standard motorcycles that put an emphasis on high power output and fast acceleration. Its close gearing and exceptionally broad power delivery provide the drive output power necessary to accelerate quickly, while its long wheelbase and low and canted mounted engine help the motorcycle plant the power without unintentional power wheelies. In tests carried out by Bike Magazine in the UK, its 2.81 second 0?100 km/h (0?62 mph) time made it the fastest accelerating naked motorcycle, beating its next closest competitor, the Suzuki B-King, by one tenth of a second.

The ’91 GSX-R750M gained 15 kg over the previous model. The most notable feature of the ” M ” are the faired in headlamps and a slanted nose, both of which were designed to reduce drag. Also fitted was a new larger seat and new rear body work that featured twin tail lamps. This was the last GSX-R to use the oil-cooled SACS engine (except for US). Internal engine changes included a new valvetrain that used one dedicated cam lobe and rocker arm (finger follower) per valve (previous models used one lobe and one forked rocker per two valves). Valve clearance (lash) was now adjusted with shims (previous models used a screw and nut). The cam duration and indexing changed slightly as well as the porting according to a magazine article. The rear tyre width was increased to a 170 millimeter section width. Torque Shift System
The F4 Tamburini, F4 Veltro, and F4 CC models are equipped with variable length intake ducts known as the “TSS” system. The “TSS” system is designed to increase torque in the low to midrange, while still allowing for maximum horsepower at the top of the rev range (usually two mutually exclusive properties of an engine). The “TSS” system has two positions, it is not able to vary the height of the intake ducts continuously. “TSS” is able to lower peak torque from the 10000 rpm to 9000 rpm while maintaining maximum power. This system debuted on the F4 Tamburini and was lauded by independent motorcycling publications such as Australian Motorcycle News
