The Aprilia RSV4 is a super bike manufactured by Aprilia. The RSV4 is Aprilia’s flagship model. Aprilia offers two models of the bike: the RSV4 Factory and RSV4 R. For 2016 it is offered in two models the RSV4 RR and the limited-edition RSV4 RF. The 2016 updated bike was made to take advantage of and comply with this year’s Superbike rules which state that fewer modifications are allowed for production bikes. It has more power, is lighter, and has improved handling and electronics.

Production of the motorcycle began in 2008. The motorcycle was unveiled on 22 February 2008, at the International Piaggio Group Convention in Milan, Italy. It is powered by a 65-degree 999.6 cc (61 cu in) V-4 engine, the company’s first production four-cylinder engine. Aprilia claims that the new engine was designed specifically for superbike racing and that the engine will produce over 200 horsepower (150 kW) in race configuration.

Before Round 6 at Catalunya, Dovizioso expressed frustration that Pedrosa would be given priority in the post-race test, feeling that the Spaniard’s poor physical condition would not lead to a productive evaluation. In the race, Dovizioso finished in 4th place and Pedrosa in 6th, and Pedrosa announced he would skip the test to rest. Using the new chassis, Dovizioso was top rider of the test.

In practice at Round 7 at Assen Pedrosa remarked that the new chassis was an improvement in braking and stability, but both Pedrosa and Dovizioso crashed in the race at the same turn. At the following round at Laguna Seca, Pedrosa won the race, while Dovizioso crashed out.

In post-race testing at Brno, the Repsol team tested ?hlins suspension components, which until then had been using Showa. For the San Marino round, Dovizioso will use ?hlins and Pedrosa will use Showa suspension.

The 2009 season ended with three wins for the Repsol Honda team?two for Pedrosa and one for Dovizioso?and a 2nd place in the constructor championship for Honda. At post-race testing at Valencia, Pedrosa tested ?hlins suspension exclusively, and the factory team tried a new chassis and swingarm. The XR650L is a dual-sport motorcycle manufactured by Honda, part of the Honda XR series. It was released in 1992 as a 1993 model. It combines the RFVC engine from the proven NX650 Dominator dual sport with the lighter, off-road capable XR600R chassis, which is not road legal in the US (the XR600R). It has been produced virtually unchanged since 1993.

The engine is an air-cooled 644 cc (39.3 cu in) SOHC, dry-sump, single-cylinder, four-stroke. With an electric starter, headlight, taillight, turn signals, mirrors, US EPA and California Air Resources Board (CARB) compliant exhaust system, and a 2.8-US-gallon (11-litre; 2.3-imperial-gallon) metallic fuel tank, the 650L has a 349 lb (158 kg) wet weight.
